Deborah Durr Ferras - President
Deborah is an estate planning attorney and shareholder with Favaro, Lavezzo, Gill,Caretti & Heppell, PC. Deborah practices throughout the North Bay Area. In December 1991, she was admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California. Her civil practice is concentrated in probate, wills, and trusts; guardianships and conservatorships; termination of parental rights and stepparent adoption; family law; and debt collection. When not working, Deborah enjoys gardening, reading, rooting for all things Cal and, of course, spending time with her wonderful family. Deborah is a Sustaining Paul Harris fellow who has been a member of our club since 2001.
Laura Kuhn - Past President
Laura Kuhn is Vacaville's City Manager, a position she has held since 2009. As City Manager, Laura has a responsibility to the city's residents, visitors and businesses that she takes very seriously. In addition to the demanding role she fulfills for the city of Vacaville, Laura has proven to being an invaluable member of our club. She has coordinated such major club projects as the Great Wonders Playground in Andrews Park and more recently spearheaded our annual Alvin Bonifacio Memorial Fishing Derby, an event her efforts took to a new level. Intelligent and organized yet fun and caring, Laura is a go-to person who will also be your best buddy. Laura has been a member of Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club since February 2006.
Damon Tyler - Past President
Damon Tyler is President of Tyler Financial, a financial services company dedicated to helping people achieve financial freedom. With over 13 years experience, Damon's goal is to develop relationships with people seeking to improve their lives by reducing or eliminating financial confusion. When not helping advance the goals and objectives of his clients or Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club, Damon enjoys spending time with his fellow members of Lodge #83 Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Damon joined our club in June 2010.
Doug Spletter - Past President
Doug is an attorney with Gaw Van Male. His experience includes business law, corporate law, estate planning, probate, conservatorships, foreclosures, taxation, real estate, bankruptcy, contracts and litigation. Doug's wisdom goes well beyond his legal expertise with his studied knowledge of our country's state capitals, state mottos, state mascots and founding fathers. When not keeping everyone on their toes with his acerbic wit, Doug serves as Secretary on the Fairfield PAL Board of Directors as well as sitting on the SCC Educational Foundation Board of Directors. Doug has been a member of our club since 2007.
Gerry Holzapple, Jr. - Treasurer
Gerry Holzapple, Jr. is co-owner of Holzapple Construction, Inc., a general contracting company specializing in residential remodeling and custom-home construction. When Gerry's father retired from the company in 2008, Gerry stepped up to fill his shoes not only at the company, but at Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club as well. Since becoming a member in February 2009, Gerry has served the club well with his hard-work, dedication and commitment. Lucky to be married to fellow Rotarian, Jill Blechschmidt, Gerry regularly entertains other club members with tales of his wedded bliss.
Randy Nelson - Foundation Chair
Randy lives by the motto "Service Above Self" in everything he does. As a local handyman, he is always helping others. Randy is also a staunch supporter of his daughter's high school cheer-leading team. Whether it's delivering bikes and clothing to children in need, giving flowers to someone who needs cheering up, or getting involved in a community project, Randy always encourages not only performing but sharing acts of kindness. As our club's 2012 - 2013 President, Randy has been dedicated to helping our members and our club become the very best they can be. When not spending time serving others, Randy enjoys gardening and woodworking. Randy joined Vacaville Sunrise Rotary in August 2008.
